January security updates for Windows, Office and Visual Studio
By Matt Whipp,
Microsoft has announced there will be security bulletins affecting Windows, Visual Studio and Office in next week's monthly security update.
Windows will receive three bulletins, and at least one will be tagged with Microsoft's most severe rating Critical. A further Important bulletin affects Windows and Visual Studio, while a further Important bulletin affects Windows and Office.
It is unclear whether the Office fix will address any of the holes discovered in Word in recent weeks.
Microsoft will offer a webcast following the release on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 am PT.
