Charnwood spends £430,000 on customer management
By Nicole Kobie,
Charnwood Borough Council has signed a five-year, £430,000 contract with IT services company Steria to install a new customer relationship management (CRM) system.
The council said the software solution will bring added benefits to local customers and improve flexibility with staff. "It will allow us to have more effective dialogue with the public, thereby strengthening our relationship with the citizens of Charnwood," said Stephen Phipps, director of partnerships and customer services at the council, in a statement.
The Charnwood contract is Steria's third such deal in Leicestershire, after winning contracts with Blaby District Council and Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council - which should help encourage shared services in the area, said Paul Sellick, director of public authorities at Steria.
"This is an important win for Steria in our continued growth in Leicestershire and the Midlands region, especially in relation to developing the shared services agenda between local authorities in the area," said Sellick in a statement.
