Oracle to release 46 patches
By Rene Millman,
Oracle has revealed details about 46 security patches it plans to roll out to customers tomorrow (17 July).
According to the company, the patches will fix flaws in Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle E-Business Suite and Applications and Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise products.
The two worst flaws affect Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise product and scored 4.8 on the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS).
Oracle's database product accounted for 20 of the 46 fixes. Two of vulnerabilities allow hackers to remotely exploit the database over a network without a username and password.
The quarterly update also contains 14 fixes for Oracle E-Business Suite and Applications, six of these flaws can also be remotely exploited without authentication. Three out of four vulnerabilities in Oracle's Application Server can also be exploited in the same manner.
Oracle's last quarterly update addressed 36 security flaws, while in January, the company released 51 security updates. Last July's update contained 65 fixes.
