3 . Copy files fast with File Manager If you have a lot of files to transfer, use the File Manager because this compresses the files. It also has tools to simplify selecting files; instead of clicking files in the list individually on a slow connection you can use the Select menu or the numeric keypad. You can rename files, create folders and move or copy files individually and synchronise or replicate a folder (depending on whether you want to combine files from the two machines or overwrite the contents of a folder on one PC with the files from the other). The confirmation dialog shows the number and size of files selected but not an estimate of how long the transfer will take, but the progress bar does show elapsed and predicted transfer time. If you're overwriting files the confirmation dialog shows the size and modification time of each file; the software makes it simpler to transfer the right files than just dragging and dropping in Explorer.
