UK insurer Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has signed a 10 year, 92 million print and IT outsourcing deal with Deutsche Telekom unit T-Systems.
T-Systems will look after interfacing with legacy systems and upgrading technology as well as handling electronic and paper documents. It will also take over operations of print facilities in Liverpool and Bristol, with 63 employees being transferred as part of the deal. A spokesperson said there would be no redundancies.
Shirley Campbell, R&SA's HR director, said: "This deal will allow T-Systems to set up, on behalf of R&SA, a print transformation utility and enable the company to provide similar services to other UK businesses. There are two immediate benefits for us: Our outsourced staff will be joining a highly progressive and fast growing business and R&SA will be embracing best-in-class technology and printing processes."
