LG gets ready to launch KF510 slider phone
By Benny Har-Even,
LG has revealed its latest slider phone, the KF510, which combines a super thin profile with touchsensitive buttons.
The handset is just 10.9mm thick and despite its svelte dimensions manages to pack in a 3-megapixel camera at the rear. The KF510 is decked out in a metal frame with special graduated paint schemes and features a tempered metal glass screen. Two finishes will be available; 'Stardust Dark Gray' and 'Sunset Red'.
The star of the show though will be its so called, 'Interactive Touch Lighting' which, thanks to some neat animations should give the phone some appeal to the fashion conscious business set, many of whom have taken to LG recently in the same way they once did with Motorola and its RAZR V3.
There is no specific news on the LG KF510's UK availability, but the initial launch will be in March 2008 in the major global markets so expect to see it over here around then.
If you're keen to get your hands on an actual sample, you'll have to travel to Barcelona, where the phone will be on display at LG's booth at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2008, which is running from February 11 through to the 14th.
IT PRO will be on the ground at MWC, so check back throughout next week for our coverage.
