The IT PRO team sits down for another discussion of the week's news, this time with contributing editor Stephen Pritchard and PC PRO staff writer Stuart Turton.

This week has seen the release of quarterly reports from some major IT firms - Google, IBM and Intel to name but three. Those and others have managed to buck the doom and gloom about the weakening economy to present strong results and positive outlooks.

In the not-much-of-a-surprise category, a new study has shown home workers are more likely to watch porn than their office-borne counterparts, which left many here wondering just who looks up such material in the office...

Coffee Republic is offering free Wi-Fi, but is this a bit pointless in the face of the growth of mobile broadband?

And BT has suggested it's time to roll out fibre networks... but probably not to everyone.
