3 . You're now offered five recovery tools and the one you want is 'Windows Complete PC Restore'. The other options, which you may need at other times, do the following: 1 Perform an automatic repair of the Windows Startup files 2 Perform a System Restore to an earlier, working state of your Vista system 3 Check your PC's memory for faults 4 Run a command prompt, so you can type in direct commands, usually to run diagnostic programs. There's quite a bit more assistance here than under Windows XP and, although it's not within the scope of this How To, The same sequence of steps from 5 to 8 will get you back to this menu, should you need to run one of these other remedies.
