Creating a Windows Vista Backup

The following screen asks which drives you want to include in the backup. The drive Windows is installed on, usually drive C, is automatically included in the backup and can't be deselected, but you can select other partitions or connected drives to include, as well. Microsoft suggests you should include any drives you have Windows files, programs and personal data on and this is good guidance. In most cases it's best to include all internal drives and any permanently connected external ones, though you can't include the drive that will take the Complete PC Backup. This is because the contents of that drive will be constantly changing. Click the check boxes of any drives you'd like to include and then click Next.
