A mobile device simulator lets you see how an image will perform in the real world.

Producing images that work well on mobile devices can be tricky - especially when you have to consider the various viewing conditions that may be encountered. An image that looks good on your flat screen monitor in a well lit office is unlikely to look as good on a phone screen on the High Street in the glare of the noonday sun. Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash share a mobile device simulator, in the shape of Device Central. This uses device profiles to show what images will look like on a screen - and at the same time, you can add screen reflections and alter lighting conditions to see how an image will perform out on the street.
