Cognisco signs on for three years with SAVVIS
By Ash Dosanjh,
As part of Cognisco’s business growth strategy and security demands, the online solutions company has signed a three-year deal with SAVVIS.
Cognisco currently has a multinational client base across 108 countries, which ranges from the US government to Network Rail in the UK.
SAVVIS’s utility computing solutions will enable Cognisco to offer 24-hour IT support to its customers, regardless of their location or time zone.
Cognisco’s move to SAVVIS’s utility platform will also support an annual assessment programme that will evaluate and collate employee data. Cognisco will benefit from SAVVIS’s network services, security offerings, managed hostings and global footprint of data centres.
The move to SAVVIS’s utility platform will support an annual company-wide assessment programme, which evaluates and collates sensitive employee data spanning across 108 countries, 15 languages and 120,000 registered users.
In addition, the deal will offer Cognisco a combination of managed IT services that encompass virtualised servers and utility computing, storage and back-up. SAVVIS will also manage Cognisco’s network and data security, providing end-to-end solutions.
Chief executive of Cognisco Mary Clarke said the deal with SAVVIS was essential with keeping up with the needs of their clients.
“Cognsico chose the SAVVIS virtualised utility computing model for its global customers who required ‘round the clock’ delivery of their assessment solutions," she said.
“The majority of Cognisco’s clients are large corporates who regard reliability, security and time to market as essential service agreement pre-requisites. Our initial project with SAVVIS has demonstrated that we have chosen a partner that can provide ‘best in class’ service back to our clients.”
