    Video: Q&A with Software AG's Karl-Heinz Streibich

The chief executive of Software AG talks about investing in IT in a weak economy and competing with bigger vendors.

Although Software AG has been in business for 40 years, the company has grown recently through acquisition, primarily of US-based software firm Webmethods, and through increasing interest among businesses in service oriented architecture (SOA).

But will businesses continue to invest in such IT projects, in tougher economic climates, and how can a mid-sized software vendor compete with the likes of Oracle and IBM? IT PRO put these questions to Software AG's chief executive, Karl-Heinz Streibich.
