You have to expect a mobile connection to be slow, but if you find it overly sluggish, check whether it’s unusually so. Choose Help > Performance to get this graph – loaded on the remote PC and displayed through PocketView – showing how fast the GoToMyPC connection is and what’s slowing it down. The blue bar at the top shows that most of the delay is in the Client Internet connection; as you’d expect, even 3G is a lot slower than the DSL connection of the remote PC. The Pocket PC’s hardware causes some of the slowdown as well. Use the hover button on the toolbar and you can get the percentages for the delay; click on the drop-down menu to compare speeds with previous sessions.
