5 . Taking control Click the Remote Control On button in the mini-panel on your screen to request control of the user’s PC; they have to agree and they get the option to check again which windows you get to see. The ‘security’ key that the dialog refers to is F11; they can also click Off on the Netviewer panel at any time to take back control. Unusually, although you can control their PC using your mouse, they can still use their own mouse to control their PC as well; this can cause some confusion but it means you can watch them use a program and jump in when you see what the problem is. The speed at which your clicks are sent to control the remote PC depends on the speed of your network and whether you’re using your own server for the connection or the Netviewer server (traffic that stays on your own network will be faster).
