BlackBerry Bold arrives on Vodafone
By Maggie Holland,
From today, Vodafone customers can get their hands on the much-anticipated BlackBerry Bold.
The new device is the first BlackBerry smartphone to take advantage of the mobile giant’s self-claimed uber speedy mobile broadband network, which should aid business users keen to surf the web or check emails on the move.
“The powerful combination of the BlackBerry Bold on Vodafone’s fastest and most reliable network provides our customers with the ability to work more flexibly than ever before,” said Elaine Roberts, Vodafone UK’s head of enterprise marketing, Vodafone UK.
“Following Vodafone’s annual Critical Response Time Index, which emphasises how a third of UK businesses continue to expect an email response to their new business enquiries within two hours, the arrival of BlackBerry Bold and it’s unrivalled functionality has never been more timely for our customers.“
With the usual suspects in terms of office productivity applications, the Bold also features a pre-installed version of DataViz Documents to Go software, built-in Wi-Fi and GPS and a 480x320 half-VGA colour display.
“The BlackBerry Bold is the most advanced BlackBerry smartphone to date,” added Mark Guibert, vice president of corporate marketing at RIM.
“It delivers an amazing blend of functionality, performance, usability and design, making it an ideal choice for both business professionals and power users in the UK.”
Those keen to get their hands on a Bold can take advantage of a special promotional deal on the Anytime 600 plan.
