T-Mobile ushers in dawn of £2 PAYG mobile broadband
By Maggie Holland,
Mobile giant T-Mobile has launched new pay-as-you-go (PAYG) mobile broadband options that provide users with unlimited access for just £2 a day.
Customers can also purchase weekly (seven day) and monthly (30 days) access passes for £10 and £20 respectively without having to commit to a lengthy minimum contract.
The only stipulation upon those wishing to take up the offer is that they have to fork out £49.99 for a T-Mobile USB 3G dongle. Furthermore the unlimited access is subject to the company’s fair use policy.
“We’ve seen massive demand for mobile broadband from a range of people, so we’re creating ways for customers to only pay for days they actually need. We have removed all complexity from the mobile broadband story, giving customers the confidence to simply pick it up off the shelf and start using it,” said Richard Warmsley, head of internet and entertainment at T-Mobile UK.
“Mobile broadband has hit the mainstream and we have made it simple for anyone to buy, use and understand.”
