Your Views: Fantasy tech acquisitions
By Maggie Holland,
Earlier in the week, we asked you which company/companies you’d spend your money on if you had an infinite pool of cash.
Mark’s decision to buy current golden child Apple – who is this week celebrating the 25th birthday of the Mac – was reasoned by pitting it against software giant Microsoft.
“Over the last few years Microsoft seems to have lost [its] way, lost [its] innovative edge. On the other hand Apple has been forging ahead adapting to the market needs far more organically,” he said.
Mike also voiced (excuse the pun) his feelings about what he’s do: “If I had an infinite pot of money I would buy (as you mention) property first, then B2B speech recognition software resellers.”
“As businesses look to boost staff productivity to gain competitive edge anyway [they] can rather than lay them off, avoiding the slowest part of their computing experience (the keyboard and ponderous mouse) is an immediate fix.”
Julio used our Twitter feed to get in touch about his plans to buy wisely. He’d opt for search giant Google. “Reason: infinite playground to test all kinds of research stuff.”
