Say no to IE 8
Microsoft has hidden one key Windows XP updates by default, and it’s not surprising that it’s the IE 8 updater. If you’re using XP Mode specifically to host IE 6 for your users or if you’re planning to use it as a testing tool for web application development you won’t want Windows Update automatically upgrading your XP Mode browser. Leave this update hidden when you apply security updates to the XP Mode VM.
