Microsoft is to issue eight security patches later today, as part of its monthly update cycle.

Of the eight bulletins, five are rated critical and allow remote code execution. Two more are rated ‘important’, with the last just labelled as ‘moderate’. The patches are for vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Internet Explorer and ISA Server.

More details on the security bulletins are available here, with the patches being rolled out this evening.

In a blog post, the Microsoft Security Response Team added: “We are also planning to release high-priority, non-security updates on Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) as well as high-priority, non-security updates on Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).”
