Orange adds BlackBerry Curve to PAYG lineup

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 from RIM will now be available on pay as you go (PAYG) from Orange.

This is the smartphone's debut on a top up tariff and follows the success of the BlackBerry Pearl, released on PAYG by Orange earlier this year.

The Curve will cost 249.99 but also comes with six months free email and web browsing.

Following the six months freebie, users can opt into a 5 a month subscription deal to cover internet access.

The phone itself features a full QWERTY keyboard, 480x360 pixel display, 3.2 megapixel camera and up to 16MB of expandable memory.

It was launched in January this year on O2.

In a statement, Orange said: "Customers can choose any of the existing animal packages with talk or text rewards, plus with Bright Top Ups, they have the chance to win a fantastic prize every time they top up."
