Infortrend launches 'out of the box' storage

Infortrend has launched a new storage system today that includes disk drives and a three-year replacement warranty, allowing for a “full solution out of the box.”

The EonStor Plus Subsystem and Disk Drive Bundle service comes with a choice of either 500GB or 1TB SATA drives, but it is scalable through expansion units. With 2U, featuring 12 bays, you can have up to 60 drives. With 3U, featuring 16 bays, this can be moved up to 80 drives.

It is compatible with fibre channel, iSCSI or SAS and can be either directly attached or used as part of a storage area network (SAN).

A key part of the offering is the three-year hardware warranty promise. Should any component of the hardware fail, a replacement will be shipped the next business day, aiming to reduce any downtime.

The product also comes with Infortrend’s SANWatch management suite to help administer multiple storage systems either locally or remotely from a single source.

Prices for the systems range from $3,782 to $9,820 (£2,324 to £6,035) and they are available from today in the UK.
