Reviews round-up: Products from Gradwell, Philips and Sun
By Maggie Holland,
Philips Brilliance 225B monitor
Philips reckons its new monitor is a bit sensitive. But in a good way. The screen has an infrared sensor inside meaning it misses you when you’re not there and drops its brightness and power in protest.
Our reviewer did point out that you can get better image quality for the same price tag, but that if reducing power consumption is your main goal, this is probably the monitor for you.
Sun Microsystems Sun Fire X4275 storage server
Sporting the latest Intel Xeon 5500 processors, this server was born to help store things. It’s a 2U rack system that has high capacity and plenty of room to expand – a great choice for businesses who need a storage solution now and aren’t quite sure just how big their needs will be in the future.
During our exclusive review, Dave Mitchell was fairly wowed. Although he’s still keen to see what Oracle has up its sleeve when it comes to servers.
Gradwell Office Communications Server
VoIP offers many benefits to businesses, but choosing the right solution is no easy task. We took a look at Gradwell’s Office Communications Server (OCS) to see what it can bring to Microsoft-based organisations. And, we certainly liked what we saw.
