HTC Touch2 smartphone coming next month
By Maggie Holland,
HTC is one of the first manufacturers to announce which handset it will be serving up with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 when it’s available early next month.
Just yesterday, Microsoft confirmed that the new operating system, dubbed Windows Phone, would hit the shops on 6 October, and HTC’s new HTC Touch2 will be among the first.
“Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control,” said Peter Chou, HTC’s chief executive, in a statement.
Boasting all the refinements of Windows Mobile 6.5, such as a much-improved browser, the HTC Touch2 will weigh in at just 110g. It also boasts a 2.8in screen, 3.2 megapixel camera and up to 500 hours and 440 minutes of standby and talk time respectively.
