Apple patches 47 flaws, fixes Flash on Snow Leopard

Apple rolls out updates for both Mac OS and the iPhone.

By Asavin Wattanajantra, 11 Sep 2009 at 11:03

Apple has released patches for 47 security issues across the Mac OS including newly-released Snow Leopard, as well as QuickTime and the iPhone and iPod touch.

The Mac OS X update for Tiger and Leopard patches 33 security flaws, most of which could have ended up in application termination or left the system open to attack by hackers.

Apple also released an update to Snow Leopard that fixes multiple vulnerabilities in an out-of-date version of Adobe Flash, which was shipped on the new OS’s release.

The iPhone and iPhone Touch also got a security patch for 10 issues that could have left the devices open to attack, while QuickTime saw fixes for four vulnerabilities.
