Microsoft has announced the release to manufacturing (RTM) of its Exchange Server 2010, with talk of a full launch at next month's Tech Ed Europe.

A blog post from the Exchange team said: “We are happy to announce that Exchange 2010 is Code Complete!”

“Our senior leadership team has signed off on the final code, and it has been sent to our early adopters for one final look before its public release," they wrote. |This Release to Manufacturing (RTM) milestone means we are on our way to general availability and the launch at Tech Ed Europe 2009 in early November.”

The replacement for Exchange Server 2007 will not be released to any customers before the Berlin conference, but the company has confirmed more technical content and demonstrations will be available in the Exhibition Hall.

The release candidate was launched back in August, supported by both Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and expected to have 10 million people testing it.
