Wolfram Alpha arrives on the iPhone

Wolfram Alpha, the fact-driven search engine, is coming to an iPhone near you – but only if you’re willing to shell out the best part of £30.00.

For £29.99, users can ask complex questions and have the answers delivered quickly and easily into the palm of their hands.

Unlike most mobile versions of popular tools and services, Wolfram Alpha claims that its iPhone app is supercomputer-esque and “plugs directly” into the same cloud as its desktop-based sibling to deliver results.

“Drawing on 20+ years of development, 50,000+ built-in algorithms, and 10+ trillion pieces of continually updated and curated data, the Wolfram Alpha app is the ultimate replacement for almost any kind of calculator or reference book—and much more,” the site’s page promoting the new app claims.
