Reviews round-up: Office 2010 beta hits

Bing in the UK finally slips its beta tag – but how effective is it really compared to Google? We go exploring with it for a day to find out if we can really bear to live without our normal search engine of choice.
Quad-core not enough for you? This HP server offers up AMD’s six-core Opteron’s to take the fight to Intel. Dave Mitchell comes away reasonably impressed but has reservations – and not just because Intel’s own six-core Nehalem’s are just round the corner.
If you want to run Windows 7 on your Mac then this is a fairly essential tool, and a significant upgrade to the previous versions. However, if you’re only an occasional user, the upgrade cost - even at just £52 - could be a little hard to justify.
Head to Head: Windows 7 vs Ubuntu 9.10
In our latest head to head, we pitch the might of Windows 7 against the very latest that Linux can offer in Ubuntu 9.10. It turns out to be something of a shock for our reviewer, who comes away pretty impressed at how the free offering stacks up against Microsoft’s latest.

BlackBerry is still the number one business smartphones and it’s clearly not resting on its laurels with this impressive upgrade to its already fine BlackBerry Bold, which is further bolstered by the presence of version 5.0 of its OS.
