Carphone Warehouse first to sell N900
By Jennifer Scott,
The Carphone Warehouse today confirmed it will be the first to sell the N900 when it is released to the shops in January 2010.
The new handset from Nokia is its first to boast the latest Linux mobile operating system Maemo and features a touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard and five megapixel camera.
The Carphone Warehouse will also be selling the phone via its website from Boxing Day before it hits the shops on 14 January.
Vodafone announced yesterday that the handset would be exclusively available on a contract from the company, confirming the rumours from November.
It will be free from the Carphone Warehouse if customers sign up for a £35 a month contract with 900 minutes and unlimited texts.
The device was originally supposed to be launched in October but faced setbacks as the company claimed it was waiting for feedback from developers.
Look out for our review of the N900 coming later this week.

You mean 2nd
Mobile Phones Direct have had them since the start of the month. They screwed up the process, but I got mine last week.

or maybe third or forth even
I've just received one from Simply Electronics and I notice that Expansys have them on their site with as expected in 2 days. Sounds like a large dose of PR spin from Carphone Warehouse to me!
