Broadband

Sky is to offer a full free six months of broadband for those who sign up to its HD or Sky Plus services, in a bid to tempt customers over to the company during the festive period.

Customers will also recieve the bonus of free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines.

Once the initial six months is up, Sky will start charging £10 per month for the up to 20Mbps connection.

This deal is open to customers who sign up before 5 February 2010 but existing customers are able to apply for the £10 discount.

This is the latest attempt by Sky to win over customers from its competitiors.

BT has just passed the five million customers mark and Virgin is the champion of speed with its trials of superfast broadband in Kent.
