    HTC unveils Smart phone details

Morsels of details on HTC’s next device due in spring have been announced at CES in Las Vegas.

HTC Smart

HTC has unveiled details about its latest smartphone, claiming the product’s ease of use makes it “accessible [to] people all over the world.”

The HTC Smart features the company's Sense interface, previously set aside for its higher end handsets but now filtering down to offer better customisation and personalisation for lower end phones.

The handset runs on Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform and will feature touch capabilities but HTC is remaining tight lipped about the rest of its features for now.

Peter Chou, HTC'd chief executive, said in a statement that the HTC Smart has been designed in response to customer demand.

“Just adding a touch interface doesn’t mean a phone is a smartphone,” he said. “The integration of HTC Sense brings an unparalleled smartphone experience for people looking to do more on their phone.”

The device will be available across Europe and Asia this spring.
