Samsung today launched two new NAND flash cards, claiming they achieve PC-style storage capacity.

The 64GB moviNAND memory device and a 32GB microSD memory card are designed to expand storage on mobile products.

Its moviNAND devices were already available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB but Samsung decided to extend it to 64GB. The card contains 16 30nm 32Gb MLC NAND chips and controller, measuring just 1.4mm in height.

The microSD layers eight 32GB NAND devices along with a controller to make Samsung’s largest capacity microSD.

Mass production has just kicked off for the moviNAND whilst the microSD should start in February.
