Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla’s famous Firefox browser is now available on Nokia’s latest Linux mobile platform, Maemo.

The platform is available on the N900 smartphone and with the browser, users of the device can use features such as customised add-ons, location aware browsing for maps and tabbed and safe browsing.

Codenamed “Fennec,” the browser is set to become available on the HTC Touch Pro in early February running on the Windows Mobile platform.

Rumours of its imminent release were rife just before Christmas however it has taken a further month for the long anticipated mobile browser to come to life.

N900 users can download the browser here.
