BlackBerry Storm2 arrives on T-Mobile

The BlackBerry Storm2 is now available on the T-Mobile network.

The follow-up to the Storm gives T-Mobile some ammunition in the smartphone race. The operator doesn't yet sell the Apple iPhone, so the addition of a high-spec, much-awaited handset will be good news for T-Mobile. The Storm2 is already available on Vodafone.

RIM is also hoping for a boost from the phone, with chief executive Jim Balsillie previously describing the release as a "biggie" for the Canadian firm.

The Storm2 features the clickable touchscreen of its predecessor, as well as new keypad using RIM's SurePress tech for easier typing.

The BlackBerry Storm2 is free on a £35 a month, two-year contract.
