Sony has started shipping the Vaio M Series, the company's second take on the netbook - although it calls the series a "mini notebook".

Sony has previously released the P Series, a high-end, super portable mini-netbook, as well as the more netbook-like W Series.

The Vaio M Series runs Windows 7 Starter edition with an Intel Atom Processor N450, and features a 250GB hard drive and 10.1in display with built-in webcam. It weighs in at just 1.3kg.Vaio M Series netbook in black

It's available from this month and can be pre-ordered from Sony's site now for £299.
