Oracle patches

Oracle has confirmed it is adding Sun Microsystems’ products to its quarterly patch update.

The patch, due next Tuesday, will change the sporadic nature of how Sun previously updated with the more regular revisions.

Oracle completed its acquisition of Sun in January but it has only just confirmed this move a matter of days before the patch is released.

The will be 16 patches in total for the Sun products, including Solaris, Sun Convergence, Sun Cluster and Sun Ray server software, running alongside Oracle’s own database updates.

In addition to all the Oracle/Sun updates, Tuesday will see 11 patches from Microsoft and fixes from Adobe for its Reader and Acrobat products.
