UPDATE: iPhone 4 gets UK network support
By Barry Collins,
Britain's mobile networks have been quick to announce their iPhone 4 plans - but none of them have yet been willing to commit to a price.
The iPhone 4 is set to go on sale in the UK on 24 June - the same day as it's launched in the US, France, Germany and Japan.
O2, which held the UK exclusive on the iPhone until the end of last year, is encouraging customers to register their interest in the iPhone 4 and is even taking addresses, so that it can send out the new microSIMs before the official launch.
However, it has still yet to announce prices.
"To make it as easy as possible for O2 customers still in contract to get their hands on a new iPhone, O2 will offer a limited time special upgrade offer," O2 said in a statement.
"Further details will be announced in the coming days."
It's a similar story at Orange and Vodafone, who have both confirmed that they will be selling the iPhone 4 from 24 June, but have given no further details.
T-Mobile has also thrown its hat into the ring, announcing this afternoon it will also be selling the device, but it has not confirmed either launch date or pricing.
The Carphone Warehouse is also offering customers the chance to pre-register for an iPhone 4 across all three of the networks.
Existing iPhone customers will be able to get many of the iPhone 4's features with the free upgrade to the newly renamed iOS 4, which should be available for download from 21 June.
