Has Vodafone unveiled its iPhone 4 prices?
By Tom Brewster,
Vodafone may have unintentionally unveiled its iPhone 4 pricing plan ahead of schedule after putting up a test website containing costs for the device.
The communications giant has confirmed to IT PRO that it was just a test website and no pricing plans have yet been officially announced.
Furthermore, a comment on Vodafone’s official Twitter page reads: “This was a test website so nothing yet has been confirmed or announced. Official details will be released very soon.”
However, according to our sister title PC PRO, the test site showed prices for Apple’s newest device starting at £189 for the 16GB model and £280 for the 32GB phone.
If the figures on the test site are real, anyone wanting to get their hands on an iPhone 4 for free will have to get a £45 a month deal with the 16GB model.
For a free 32GB version, people will need to go with a £60 a month deal, according to the unofficial information, which also promises delivery of the iPhone 4 on 24 June for those who pre-order by midnight on 22 June.
No providers have yet officially revealed their complete iPhone 4 pricing plans, although it is only 10 days until the device is available in the UK so expect news in the not too distant future.
Other communications big boys that will be offering the new iPhone include O2, Orange, 3 and T-Mobile.
