Mozilla has unveiled the beta of its updated browser, Firefox 4.

It is only currently available to download for Windows users but the open source specialist has promised a Mac and Linux version will be coming soon.

New features of the browser include a change in tab position, a new add-on manager, support for WebM and HD video, and a number of security fixes.

There will also be support for HTML5 and web developers will have the JetPack SDK, CSS3 and Web Console to play with.

Mozilla is keen for feedback on the beta and has designed a feedback add-on so users can tell the organisation what they think of this latest version.

The beta is available to download now but a full version is not expected to be released until November this year.

This week Mozilla also announced the launch of its Firefox Mobile 1.1 browser for Nokia handsets.
