Nokia N8 review: First look

By Clare Hopping,
The 12-megapixel camera can take some stunning shots. Video is recorded in 720p HD, albeit at a frame rate of 25fps which is slightly lower than the iPhone 4's 30fps. There’s a HDMI port for connecting the N8 to your HD TV. To our eyes, it looks like a regular, full-size HDMI port instead of a smaller micro HDMI port which would require an adapter cable. If so, this is definitely a welcome feature.
Overall, our first impressions of the N8 are very positive - as the first Nokia device running on Symbian^3, it restores our faith in the Finnish phone giant.
It could help save Nokia from being swamped by smartphone high fliers such as Apple and HTC.
We’re excited by this next-generation Nokia. Very excited.

Don't think I'll bother
Until they sort out the sync to macs, (promised for years) and the email that is an utter pain to set up and still wont work and also shortly to be charged for I don't think I'll bother. Always stuck with Nokia but my 5800 music express is the last. prefer the HTC or new Samsung both of which are cheaper than the N8.

Dusting off goods which have reached their sell by date is not good for the brand.Simply put the form factor needs to change, the screens cannot be taken seriously by partially sighted people...wait three years and take another look..meanwhile the new HTC sensational is out and iphone 4.5
