Apple releases iOS 4.1

A week after its September press conference, Apple has released the latest version of its mobile operating system.
iOS 4.1 is available free to download from iTunes for iPhones and iPod Touch devices.
As well as adding a number of new features – including high dynamic range photo and HD video upload capabilities, the ability to rent TV programmes and Games Centre for online multiplayer gaming – the new OS fixes a number of bugs that plagued Apple users in previous versions.
Another update will also be coming in November, bringing iOS 4.2 to iPads, as well as the other two handheld devices.
