    Google buys up Blind Type

The internet giant is investing more in its mobile platform with the purchase of these touch type developers.

Mobile acquisition

Google has done a deal to buy software development specialist Blind Type.

Blind Type is focused on developing keyboards for mobile devices but has yet to release a product onto the market.

Neither company has revealed the money behind the deal but it has shown Google is continuing to invest into its Android mobile operating system, which has been increasing in popularity.

Just last week, a survey showed developers favoured the Android platform for applications, claiming it had a better long-term future than the likes of Apple's iOS.

However, despite the ongoing discussions of Android on tablets, very few have been released yet and Apple is still dominating that space with its iPad device.
