Have others any practical cost based experience of PAYG?

I enjoyed viewing this video and felt comfortable that smaller organisations were mentioned. We are a national charitable org without a "corporate office" and rely upon volunteers who are scattered around the country. We started using a cloud server service provider just over a year ago to act as the "company office" and it works well, however it is not cheap, even though as a charity we get a preferrential rate. We have an annual contract which means we can budget for a known cost. I am not sure about a PAYG service, on balance it looks like it has the potential to be more expensive over time.

I was looking at adopting the use of a webinar service provider as a process for the delivery for training courses and thought that PAYG may be a good way to try out the effectiveness.
