Fujitsu unveils Cloud Connect Communication suite
By Jennifer Scott,
Fujitsu has launched its first cloud network product portfolio, enticing customers to put their communication needs into the cloud.
The Cloud Connect Communication suite offers users the ability to run unified collaboration and communication tools on the Fujitsu-run Cisco HCS platform. Applications include video conferencing, WebEx collaboration, instant messaging and telepresence.
“Effective collaboration begins and ends with the network,” said Andy Stevenson, executive director of the hosting and network service group at Fujitsu UK.
“We have combined our proven experience and expansive network to deliver a flexible, reliable and vibrant end to end managed solution in the Fujitsu Cloud Connect service.”
It also announced Fujitsu Cloud Connect Voice to manage any PBX hardware and software businesses need, claiming it could save a company between five and 30 per cent costs – according to an Intellicom Analytics survey.
The final piece to the communications cloud puzzle is Cloud Connect Managed Mobile. This product allows businesses to set up mobile access to their business applications and data, specifically aimed at the smartphone and tablet user. This new service works on a pay as you go model and claims to be both enterprise scalable and network agnostic.
“It is offering true soup to nuts network infrastructure to cloud solutions consisting of network infrastructure product and services, cloud connect solutions, managed networks, cloud connect apps, network consultancy and cloud connect managed network solutions,” added Bernt Ostergaard from Current Analysis.
The new portfolio is the first ever cloud network offerings by Fujitsu to be made available in the UK.
