Firms claims world's first with 3kg mobile All-in-One.

HP has unveiled a mobile All-in-One inkjet printer designed to accommodate the needs of business users who regularly need to make copies and scan documents on the move.

The Officejet 150 Mobile All-in-One comes with a 50-page feeder and is capable of printing 500 pages from a single charge. The device has a claimed page speed of 22 pages per minute for black ink and 18 pages per minute for colour. Print resolution is up 600 x 600 dpi for black and 4800 x 1200 dpi for colour when using HP software.

Tasks are managed through the a 2.36in touchscreen, which is located on the top right hand corner.

Scanning and copying is carried out by feeding a single sheet into the tray. Documents can be scanned directly to a PC, memory card, USB drive or email them. When copying, the device scans the sheet and prints simultaneously.

The Officejet 150 is able to print, scan and make copies. Despite the portable nature HP does not supply a carry case as standard.

In terms of connectivity, the Officejet 150 comes with a USB 2.0 port, PictBridge/Front USB 2.0 Host port and an SD card slot. Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity also allows users to print directly from Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices.

The printer weighs in at 3.1kg with the battery, which makes it equivalent to carrying two 15in laptops.

UK pricing has yet to be confirmed, but HP plans to ship the device at $399 in the summer. This would make it the same price as a office-based inkjet such as the Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4095DN.

Users would also have to factor in another $80 for the carry case, which isn't supplied as standard. This is rather bizarre, considering that the key selling point is portability.

Despite the high-price, the Officejet 150 may still be a good investment for those working in the legal and sales professions. IT Pro will have a full review soon.
