    Browzar offers snoop-free surfing

A new Internet browser means that users can surf the web without worrying about leaving incriminating data behind

By Maggie Holland, 1 Sep 2006 at 11:43

One of Freeserve's founders has launched a new Internet browser, which claims to offer users the freedom to search the web without creating a historical trail.

Dubbed Browzar, the new tool will protect users from leaving any personal data behind when they surf the net, according to Ajaz Ahmed, one of the brains behind Freeserve's birth, which was bought by Wanadoo and is now owned by Orange.

Available as a free download, Browzar automatically deletes cache, history, cookies and auto-complete forms to ensure a completely private online experience, according to its creator.

"We divulge masses of information about our habits, hobbies and financial dealings while online, often unknowingly, and there are times when all of us would rather this was kept private," said Ahmed.

"Using Browzar, anyone worldwide can surf the Web privately in the knowledge that no-one will stumble across the sites they have visited when using the same computer."

Ahmed also confirmed that the new browser will not be an isolated innovation.

"Browzar will do for surfing and searching the web with privacy what eBay did for auctions and MySpace did for social networking. It is the first in a range of products that we'll be rolling out this year."
