Java development
There are hundreds of Java applications developed for the BlackBerry. To add to these, a free Java Development Environment (JDE) is available from the BlackBerry website, with all elements needed to build, test and fully simulate a Java app. There are additional third party options too, such as Sun Netbeans, Appforge for Visual Studio and IBM Websphere Studio.
