EMC and Fujitsu Siemens team up on storage

Fujitsu Siemens Computers and EMC Corporation are to integrate EMC's networked storage systems and software with Fujitsu Siemens Computers' FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite.

The companies said the deal is aimed at reducing ownership costs for enterprises and will give customers improved information management and protection while "delivering an adaptable and flexible computing infrastructure."

FlexFrame is central to Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Dynamic Data Centre (DDC) strategy, which said the company, would enable organisations to "lower overheads and address the rising costs of maintaining existing IT infrastructure."

"By working closely with EMC, we are providing FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite customers with new storage networking capabilities and benefits," said Bernd Kosch, Vice President Alliances, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. "This effort with EMC further supports our core strategy around the Dynamic Data Centre to provide enterprises with stress-free IT operations."
