New research by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) indicated that three quarters (77 per cent) of adult UK internet users who found pictures of online sex abuse did not know who to report it to.

The survey also said that 71 per cent of those surveyed indicated that online sex abuse images was their biggest concern about the internet.

To change this state of affairs the IWF are trying to publicise its national reporting service and so reduce the amount of illegal images and video which is online.

Chief executive Peter Robbins said that the UK had a very proactive approach to tackling child sexual abuse content online but that the public could do even more.

They cant impose UK cesorship on sites hosted in other countries. Good luck trying to stop adults looking at ‘obscene’ images.

It is illegal to view images of child abuse,so,in reporting a site to the authorities, you are admitting that you have viewed it, and expose yourself to possible prosecution (this has happened). My advice would be to do nothing, and leave law enforcement agencies to do the job of tracking down paedophiles.

In reply to Alex..This is what IWF say about reporting..

The IWF will not pass your information onto Law Enforcement Agencies without your permission to do so. Additionally, under the terms of the Data Protection Act, we hold your information for a maximum of 90 days, after which it is deleted from our system. I am apalled and disgusted that internet sites especially coming from Russia in particular www.zenasextube.com that shows children in all forms of sexual activity including sex with animals. What are you going to do about it? What can I do about? What if this was your child? I would like a reply asap.Regards,Ed
