Manufacturers Instructions/Web Guides
Posted in Uncategorized on March 12, 2007 at 3:09 pm
Why is it whenever I have a complex piece of work to do I end up having to refer to manufacturers instructions - which are wrong?
To explain, this weekend was having to upgrade firmware in a major way (from Catos to IOS on a 6500 to be precise), and was following the upgrade guide to the letter…
Of course, the upgrade of the box failed, had to lookup in forums the fact that the guide was wrong in one key securtion, and how to fix the fact the box wouldn’t boot due to the aforementioned bug.
