Took a call last week from o2 offering me a new mobile phone on my contract (assuming I take out an 18 month contract.)
The X Stands for X-citing!

I recently acquired an XBox 360 despite being, quite frankly, appalling at games.
However, I do find myself a tad excited by the prospect of the power of the X and all this began when I plugged the machine in, connected it to my router and turned it on.
I love the idea of being able to download old games through XBox Live, though I am still to buy points or pay for the XBox Live Gold service (maybe next month). I love the idea that I can play videos from my Windows XP MCE laptop (Philips X55… blah, blah, blah) and I’ll download the stuff that it’s asking me to download shortly. I love the idea that I can mow down zombies using parasols or other paraphenalia found in your average shopping mall… okay, that’s Dead Rising, which I am enjoying despite being rather pants at playing it.
Okay, I’m excited. But, what should I actually do with it? Should I set up the media streaming thing, or will I get bored of it rapidly? Should I be buying Microsoft Points or are they just a cynical marketing ploy? Messenger is coming to XBox Live and I’m kinda interested in how that will work.
What will I do with my other three consoles? Okay, the XBox I still use for DVDs (especially old TV series where 5.1 sound isn’t an option) and I’m sure I’ll still want to play games on my other consoles.
In the meantime, what can I do with the 360 that is really, really, really cool? Come on, suggestions people…
